Complete “Playoff” Fantasy Football Rankings Unleashed

As we gear up for the first playoff game on Saturday, here are my complete Playoff Ranking for Each Position. There are many variables that go into these rankings such as the projected number of games, matchups, offense styles, and of course Vegas Odds. One thing to always remember when picking players based on wins and loses, the Line always tells you something!

QB

  1. Russell Wilson
  2. Tom Brady
  3. Aaron Rodgers
  4. Tony Romo
  5. Peyton Manning
  6. Andrew Luck
  7. Ben Roethlisberger
  8. Matt Stafford
  9. Cam Newton
  10. Joe Flacco
  11. Andy Dalton

RB

  1. DeMarco Murray
  2. C.J. Anderson
  3. Marshawn Lynch
  4. Eddie Lacy
  5. LeGarrette Blount
  6. Jeremy Hill
  7. Le’Veon Bell (Injury Factor)
  8. Justin Forsett
  9. Dan Herron
  10. Jonathan Stewart
  11. Joique Bell

WR

  1. Dez Bryant
  2. Jordy Nelson
  3. Antonio Brown
  4. T.Y. Hilton
  5. Demaryius Thomas
  6. Brandon LaFell
  7. Emmanuel Sanders
  8. Randall Cobb
  9. Julian Edelman
  10. Calvin Johnson
  11. Doug Baldwin
  12. Torrey Smith
  13. A.J. Green
  14. Kelvin Benjamin

These are the only rankings that I am supplying based on the fact that there are very few TE’s to choose from and K/DEF is your last priority. Now remember, when looking at these players, matchups are key. Not everyone can get past the first round, but as long as you can limit the number of early exits you should be okay.

Things we have learned from Week 16……..

  • Jamal Charles has fallen out of the fantasy elite over the last few weeks. Charles has averaged 15.2 touches over his past five games and has seemed to be running into a brick wall. The Chiefs threw the ball 45 times last week and only 5 times to JC. Why, with your season on the line do you have Alex Smith throw 45 times? Welcome the Andy’s world Kansas City.
  • Teddy Bridgewater has quietly become a dependable Fantasy Starter over the last 6 weeks. He is averaging just over 21 PPG over that span and has shown flashes of brilliance. Just think, if you would have started him over Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck, you probably would have won your Super Bowl.

After blowing a 21 point lead on Saturday night, Jim Harbaugh looks like he’s ready to become a Wolverine…..Rex Ryan and Marc Trestman will be fired faster than a Nuclear Bomb from North Korea…..Move over Cam Newton, Odell Beckham is the new Superman….Peyton Manning has boned his fantasy teams more over the last few weeks than Pam Anderson did Tommy Lee in their video…..Jamal Charles has fell into the Andy Reid, I want to throw 50 times a game, trap…..Johnny Manziel’s future is about as certain as Barak Obama’s…..Ryan Lindey proved he is, well, Ryan Lindey…….Antonio Brown was an owners dream. Brown never fell below 5 catches or 72 yards in any game that he played in……T.Y. Hilton and Jeremy Maclin vaulted into the top ten at their position…..Andrew Luck helped you as much as blind man could guide you across the street….Most Fantasy Championships were over and if you are playing in week 17, well your league needs to admit they Are Who We Thought They Are, AMATUERS!

****I will be back next week as I will begin to rate players for Fantasy Playoff Football….If you are not in a Fantasy Playoff League and are curious or have questions hit me up Twitter and I’ll let you know how it works!!!!!!!!

Things we have learned from Week 10……..

  • Big Ben completed 25 of 37 passes for 340 yards Sunday night making it the fourth time in the 11-year veteran’s career that he threw for at least five touchdowns in a game.
  • Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown became the second player in NFL history to start a season with nine straight games of at least five receptions and 80 yards. Hall of Famer Michael Irvin had a similar streak in 1995 with the Dallas Cowboys.
  • 36-year-old Linebacker James Harrison still has something in the tank as he was all over the field as he had seven tackles, two sacks and four quarterback hits.
  • AFC Defensive Rookie of the Month Linebacker C.J. Mosley continues to be an emerging star racking up nine tackles, six of them solos.

Torrey Smith continues to shine averaging over 18.2 pts in the last 4 games as Steve Smith struggles continue…..Rookie WR Mike Evans continues to impress with seven receptions for 125 yards and a touchdown……Marshawn Lynch shut up all the doubters Sunday as he entered straight beast mode with a 140 yard, 4 Touchdown effort……Odell Beckham Jr. continues to look like a big time wide-out with seven receptions for 108 yards…Aaron Rodgers picked up where Big Ben left off with six touchdowns of his own….Andy Dalton put up one of the worst QB performances of the season as he did his best impression of Vinny Testaverde after a good buzz….Ronnie Hillman got a lot of hype and managed to get 13 rushing yards against a pee wee football team….Antonio Brown decided to do his best Tiki Barber impression by deciding to get a case of the drops….Jeremy Hill showed he had his moment in the sun and will not be the next waiver wire gem….Mark Ingram continued to show he is the real deal…..Give it up for the JETS in the upset of the week, called by yours truly on my Friday night segment!!!!!!!
