In the sport of professional wrestling, there have been many wrestlers to cross promotions throughout the years in the hopes of bettering themselves and their careers. It is a trend that has been active as far back as Ric Flair jumping from NWA to WWE, and to a lesser degree, Shane Douglas going from NWA to ECW. While in the midst of being practical, these moves proved to be both necessary and worthy, in order to better the business, and along the way adding a degree of intrigue to keep the audience always guessing.
One of the latest wrestlers’s to come back to WWE for a reunion or possibly longer stint is RVD. In the grand scheme of things, I would like to think this move has worked out well for both sides and judging from the loud pops in the audience, I would say he is someone the universe has sorely missed. Consequently, this all leads me to the name, Allen Neal Jones,
better known as The Phenomenal One, A.J. Styles, who in my opinion, is the one wrestler WWE would benefit the most from acquiring, understanding as though this will not likely happen.
The Phenomenal One has been with TNA ever since the first broadcast back on June 19, 2002. From that point on he has been thrusted into the spotlight, becoming one of their main headliners and forces into their future of success. Along the way to stardom, his accolades have been built up to include, but not limited to, 5 TNA World Titles ( 6 if included BFG ), 2 Television Titles, 6 X Division Titles, and 2Tag Team Titles. Furthermore, he is the only wrestler in TNA to have held every male championship sanctioned by the company at any point during their existence. These are some high standards for the up and coming superstars of the company, but, as A.J. has shown over the years, definitely not impossible.
Obviously, A.J. is under contractual control with TNA and is on the heels of another championship run, leaving no doubt about his home of existence. With that being said, I cannot deny that I would deem the possibilities for a wrestler of A.J. Styles’s 
caliber in the WWE would be endless. I can envision the spectacular matches between him and Daniel Bryan, full of high flying moves and electrifying fundamentals. For example, A.J. Styles would be better suited for the role of the new face of WWE, than the viper Randy Orton. I have always thought Randy was robotical in stature and his mic skills were border line believable, leaving a lot to be desired.
Lastly, I feel as though WWE has never found or is still searching for a similar person with the charisma and the moves to lead the company, in the way guys like Shawn Michaels and the Rock did over the last 15/20 years. Obviously, John Cena is the focal point and the main headliner now, but I compare him more to Hulk Hogan instead of Steve Austin because of his relation to the kids and the PG audience. I will admit I am a huge fan of A.J. Styles, but that is not a deterrent from the truth that he is, in my opinion, the missing piece of the puzzle of which we refer to as the WWE.
